Salary: $94,800 – $127,800 per year + Incentive Pay
Overview
An industry-leading manufacturer of electrical power connectors is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and lead a high-performing accounting team. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Close Process
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and improve financial accuracy.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency.
- Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
Ledership & Team Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop an accounting team.
- Provide performance feedback and drive team success.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Accounting Estimates & Special Projects
- Oversee reserves, accruals, and depreciation estimates.
- Work closely with leadership on financial planning and business strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
