There has been great hype about the release of Dynamics NAV 2013 beta. From what we understand it is faster with much more functionality.  A main theme for NAV 2013 is to improve performance.  Technically one of the core areas tackled has been the issue of Blocks and Deadlocks on the NAV/SQL systems which is a key issue for user experience. Dynamics NAV 2013 also offers a brand new experience for building Reports which will be in RDLC going forward. This area has been improved to optimise the Dataset design. Dynamics NAV 2013 will be offered on Azure going forward offering more flexibility to customers. Finally, from a visual view, one of the major differences is to the function bar; there are more icons and tabs and therefore this makes it easier to access all functionality. In addition and equally importantly it is much more like the look and feel of Office. According to the community; NAV 2013 will be a faster, more user friendly and effective ERP solution.
