Dynamics 365 Commerce, and Dynamics 365 Connected Store – have been designed specifically for use by retailers, and they allow businesses to harness the benefits and reality of AI to transform the retail experience.

The way in which customers shop is changing and shopping has become something that can be done anytime and anywhere, because of the ease in which customers can access information and shop digitally.

Consumer expectations have evolved and 91%1 of customers are more likely to shop with brands that tailor their shopping experience by providing them with personalised, relevant offers, and that ‘remember’ their shopping preferences.

Dynamics 365 Commerce

Dynamics 365 Commerce is a comprehensive omnichannel retail solution for companies. It unifies all of their in-store, back office, call centre and digital experiences.

Dynamics 365 Connected Store

Dynamics 365 Connected Store will help physical retailers understand and improve customers’ in-store experiences by analysing data from IoT sensors and cameras and provide both real-time and predictive insights to help stores make better decisions.

It uses observational data gathered from customers as they move around the store, and provides information on the status of store products and equipment, such as highlighting any problems with in-store freezer temperatures. It can create employee alerts and insights that can improve the efficient running of the store – such as bringing in extra staff at checkouts when alerted by sensors in the store.

Connected Store can also track long-term trends in the retail space, to optimise the experiences of customers. Teams across the organisation can stay updated with automated emails and a web app to review and report data.

The multinational retailer Marks & Spencer is using Connected Store at its flagship store in London, to help it realise its goal of becoming a ‘digital-first’ retailer.
