Salary: Up to $200,000 OTE (Base Salary + Commission)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Sales Leader to join their team in the role of Strategic Sales Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, establishing and nurturing client relationships, and providing leadership to our sales team. This is a remote position with up to 50% travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the cargo/trucking industry.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to ensure they meet and exceed individual and collective sales goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs, and positioning our solutions as indispensable to their success.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats. Utilize this information to refine the sales strategy accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure a unified and customer-centric approach to business development.
  • Sales Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and ensure they are well-equipped to address client needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement robust sales performance metrics, tracking mechanisms, and reporting systems to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and individual/team performance.


  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 7 years of successful sales leadership experience in the cargo or trucking industry.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales plans.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Client-Focused: Customer-centric approach with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Results-Driven: A track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
