About the Role:

Our client, a renowned company in the retail sector, is seeking an enthusiastic Events Assistant to join their fast-paced marketing team. This role provides a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about event management to support a variety of exciting in-store and offsite events across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination: Act as the first point of contact for the Events team across internal departments and the store network, prioritizing and resolving requests in a timely manner.
  • Administration: Serve as the go-to administrator for the Events team, handling tasks such as note-taking, setting agendas, scheduling meetings, drafting company-wide communications, proof-reading, systems administration, and compiling project reports.
  • Event Organisation: Collaborate closely with store and boutique teams to manage guest lists, send invitations, and organize general event logistics.
  • Research: Conduct research on various event elements including venues, goody bags, entertainment, transport, and accommodation.
  • Logistics: Organise event logistics, including transporting equipment and products, placing orders, coordinating deliveries, and finding suppliers as needed.
  • Brief Creation: Develop event briefs for photographers or influencers in attendance.
  • PR Collaboration: Work with the PR team to organize press events.
  • Task Management: Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous event experience and/or relevant qualifications.
  • Quick learner with a passion for event management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident in dealing with colleagues, supplier agencies, and clients.
  •  Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and personal time management skills.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Experience in hospitality and customer service.
