An esteemed partner, renowned in the IT Service Delivery sector for their comprehensive support and innovative solutions, is seeking an experienced Major Incident Manager to join their dedicated team. This 12-month contract offers up to €250 per day for a role that is pivotal in managing both internal and external customer incidents, emphasising a commitment to excellence and swift resolution. The position is fully remote, welcoming candidates from anywhere in Western Europe. It requires adherence to European business hours with occasional travel as needed.

The role:

In this critical capacity, you will oversee major incidents, driving problem management and root cause analysis processes. Your day-to-day tasks will involve coordinating closely with senior business leaders, showcasing your adeptness at multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Your technical expertise, combined with project management skills, will be essential in mitigating impacts efficiently and maintaining the high service quality our partner is known for.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of major incidents to minimise operational impacts.
  • Subject matter expert in ITSM for new application onboarding.
  • Cross-team coordination to ensure process alignment and incident management efficacy.
  • Development of key performance metrics for comprehensive incident tracking and reporting.
  • Effective stakeholder communication, maintaining transparency and trust.

What my client is seeking:

  • A robust background in IT Infrastructure & Operations, backed by a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in IT operations support within a large-scale environment.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in Major Incident Management and leading incident bridges.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the ITIL Framework and ITSM best practices, with proficiency in ServiceNow and preferably PowerBI.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, capable of delivering under high pressure.
