What Makes The AXUG Summit 16 Worth Travelling for?

This year’s premier user-led educational event for Dynamics AX professionals, AXUG 16, will be held in Tampa, Florida on October 11-14th. There are plenty of other AX-focussed conferences and user events throughout the calendar, so what makes the AXUG Summit worth travelling for?

1. Networking with experts

According to AXUG Summit board member Paul Martin, connections are as essential to the AXUG experience as education. While the primary function of the user group has always been learning, Mr Martin claimswe try very hard not to make it a sales pitch. It's really about the users.’

For developers and others in primary AX roles, this means that the AXUG Summit offers a purer experience where group sharing and building relationships is right at the centre.

2. Work through real problems

A quick look at the schedule will tell you everything you need to know about the sorts of conversations you’ll be having at the summit. Where other events might be shallow in the technical issues and client cases they cover, AXUG focusses on beginner to advance-level knowledge sharing.

Expect topics like ‘Advanced AX Development Tips and Tricks’ and ‘SQL for Administrators – Getting Down to the Nitty Gritty’ to be covered in detail.

3. Peer-to-peer learning

While conferences tend to be top down, and feature big-name speakers from large corporate organisations, AXUG focusses on peer-to-peer knowledge and electric keynotes from Microsoft representatives themselves.

With sessions like ‘How2’, ‘Roundtable’, ‘Ask the Experts’ and ‘Deep Dive’, there’s no doubting the knowledge available for the taking at AXUG.

4. Pre-conference academy

While the conference is the main attraction, you can also register for the pre-conference academy: focussed, instructor-led classroom training – all delivered by AXUG Academy.

This means that – whether you’re early on in your career, or you’ve been working with Dynamics AX for years – you have the potential to learn something new.

5. First look at Dynamics 365

There’s something new and exciting on the horizon and it’s called Dynamics 365. Available this fall, Microsoft Dynamics 365 evolves Microsoft’s current CRM and ERP cloud solutions into one cloud service with new purpose-built apps that will help to manage specific aspects of a business’s operations. These include: Financials, Field Service, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Project Service Automation and Customer Service.

At AXUG, you’ll be amongst the first to learn about Dynamics 365 and Microsoft apps and get hands-on experience with this new technology.

As you can see, AXUG 16 isn’t like other conferences. It is a true celebration of all things Dynamics AX, and we hope to see you there.
