We’ve covered Microsoft Convergence before, but this year’s flagship Microsoft Dynamics expo – Microsoft Envision – has been rebranded and is set to be the biggest show yet.
Where: Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, US
When: 4th-6th April 2016
Who: Managing Directors, CIOs, developers, project managers, marketers
People from around the world travel to see the over 300 exhibitors, speakers and demos to ensure they and their businesses are ahead of the curve when it comes to CRM and ERP technologies.
Futuristic industry jargon like ‘Sales as a Service’, ‘Internet of Things’ and ‘digital disruption’ are banded about the show floor with laser precision. Business and technical insight is palpable. This is Envision. So, here, we run through Monday to Wednesday, highlighting the things you desperately need to see.
Monday
Breakfast – 7:30am – 9:00am
No, we’re not joking. Breakfast isn’t only the most important meal of the day, at Envision, it’s one of the best opportunities you’ll have to network, meet up with people you saw at last year’s conference and create new opportunities for your business. All this, even before the first keynote speech of the day. Talk about getting your money’s worth.
Keynote – 9:00am – 10:00am
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is an unstoppable force at conferences, having appeared as the Monday keynote speaker consecutively at previous global Dynamics events.
This year, he’s back again, and while the topic of the talk hasn’t been announced, we’re confident it will have something to do with the way in which businesses are transforming to dramatically improve their productivity by adopting Microsoft Dynamics technologies.
Exciting and inspiring stuff, and Nadella’s performances are always invigorating. Don’t miss this.
2:45pm – 3:30pm – breakout sessions
Breakout sessions are a fantastic way to get the sort of role-specific information that you can’t get at a keynote speech. Tuesday’s sessions are brilliant for those in digital and marketing professions with topics like ‘The Millennial Disconnect: Marketing beyond the Stereotype’ and ‘Driving Innovation in a Digital Economy’. Marketing is a crucial part of the picture for driving business innovation and delivering revenue, and so marketers have never had more reason to attend Envision.
Tuesday
9:00am – 10:00am – Industry-focussed general sessions
Microsoft are the world-leaders when it comes to persuading businesses across the vertical spectrum that they require their products.
From manufacturing and healthcare through to government, sport and entertainment, they have ‘State of the Industry’ sessions that assess the current vertical’s landscape, demonstrating the value of Microsoft CRM, or Dynamics AX, GP or NAV in increasing return on investment.
4:00pm – 5:00pm – Keynote: How technology transforms business and the world
Featuring Chairman of the Special Olympics, Tim Shriver, this is really set to be one of the most impressive talks of the entire show. Learn how one of the world’s foremost sporting events is channelling Microsoft Dynamics technology to deliver vastly improved results.
Wednesday
9:00am – 12:00am – Down to business
By Wednesday, you’ll most likely be all talked out. At Envision, the third day is reserved for more intimate, specific roundtable discussions, unique solution presentations and meetings with business and technology experts.
If there was anything that truly captured your imagination that you were looking to follow up on from day one and two, now’s your chance.
