Are you an experienced financial leader with a passion for driving operational excellence? Our client, a leading company in the life insurance sector, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join their dynamic Accounting and Finance Department. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in overseeing operational accounting, reinsurance accounting, and both Statutory and US GAAP reporting while contributing to the overall financial success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Manage reinsurance reporting, ensuring compliance with reinsurance treaties.

• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.

• Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

• Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance, and work with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities.

• Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.

• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA required.

• Extensive experience in the life insurance industry, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and Statutory financial reporting standards.

• Proven leadership and strategic vision in managing accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with financial software platforms such as Oracle, Power BI, or Clearwater.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
