About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has opened for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team on-site in Oak Ridge, TN. This role will require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams from manufacturing, quality engineering, and procurement, providing technical support and guidance for various processes. As a key player in the operations team, you will resolve issues, implement solutions, and continuously improve production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and provide technical support for manufacturing processes.
  • Train and provide guidance to the manufacturing and test teams.
  • Design and develop manufacturing and testing aids.
  • Review and update designs to ensure manufacturability.
  • Organize, plan, and maintain production lines to improve efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce production costs.
  • Troubleshoot electrical failures and mechanical defects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including ISO and NADCAP.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Level 1: Entry-level with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Level 2: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Level 3: 5+ years of experience with proven expertise in the field.
  • Strong understanding of part and assembly drawings, including GD&T ASME Y14.5 - 2009 standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-standard manufacturing processes, inspection, and testing.
  • Experience with quality assurance, particularly in MRB and disposition processes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electronics, use of power and test equipment, and knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in data management systems like SAP, Autodesk Inventor, and JIRA.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (2-4 hours at a time).
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Work will be performed in both office and production environments.
