About the Role:

We are recruiting for a Controller to join a leading manufacturing organization with multiple facilities across North America. This Asheboro, NC-based role offers an excellent opportunity to combine strategic and tactical financial responsibilities within a high-performing team.

The Controller will work closely with the Plant Manager and Finance Manager to ensure financial policies are executed effectively, driving operational efficiency and integrity. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in cost accounting, manufacturing operations, and financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial statements and compare results to budgets/forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly site performance analyses and lead discussions with corporate finance and operations teams.
  • Manage vendor invoice approvals, A/P proposals, and expense report processing (Concur).
  • Develop and manage the plant's annual budget and CAPEX proposals.
  • Oversee financial components of inventory management, including BOMs, labor rates, and variance analysis.
  • Support annual audits and ad hoc financial projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and data analysis tools (Power BI a plus).
  • Expertise in standard product costing, including BOMs, labor, and variance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
