Cost Accounting Manager

My Client is a top Manufacturer looking for a Cost Accounting Manager to join their rapidly growing team! The Cost Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the accounting activities of the manufacturing and production divisions. This includes managing systems, personnel, and processes. 

Essential Functions/Duties

• Manage the team to ensure accurate and timely performance of all accounts payable tasks.
• Assist in the development of accurate financial information.
• Analyze and report financial information to management.
• Prepare precise forecasts, projections, budgets, and corporate reports for submission to leadership for approval.
• Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures.
• Provide financial assistance to branch managers when needed.
• Support the accounting staff as required.
• Manage and participate in project-based assignments aimed at enhancing the performance of the accounting department.
• Assist with the audit process.
• Demonstrate unwavering support and participation in all safety program initiatives, leading by example.

Competencies

• Possess strong organizational skills, allowing for the seamless prioritization and performance of multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
• Capable of working effectively with or without direct supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting.
• Proficiency in Epicor ERP (E10, E11, Kinetic)

Preferred Education and Experience

• CPA qualification and experience in public accounting would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Familiarity with Prophet 21.
